I painted this today from the cove east of Schoodic Point. The night before the wind roared in on a southeast train kicking up white caps and waves and bringing a balmy 46 degrees that wiped away the snow. Nothing placid about the ocean today. The waves at Schoodic Point were wild, sending salt spray geysers high into the air when they crashed against the rocks.
