Heave, crash, swoosh, splash! How I love to stand at the water’s edge and feel the energy of the ocean wash over me. Delight bubbles over into laughter, awe, and gratitude. I love painting waves. It’s part meditation, part celebration of their beauty and power that flows through me.

Taking the longer view of sea and sky to appreciate and celebrate the ever-changing dance of light and color and the energy of the invisible tide and wind.
Intriguing Vignettes
When the sea and sky are less insistent, more quiet moments come to the fore. It may be a tide pool filled with sunlight, water splashing and washing over the rocks or sweeping along a shoreline, the bright color of a leaf against moss and lichen, the soft winter white of a birch tree or another eye-catching moment of light and color.
